Publication Design

Summary

Learning the art of publication design expanded my grasp on structuring content, crafting readable text, and using imagery effectively to design layouts that are both appealing and user-friendly.

Isabel Marant Coffee Table Book | 2020

Explore Isabel Marant's fashion evolution in a concise 100-page coffee table book. The publication uses carefully selected typography and design to communicate the label's free-spirited and bohemian elements, reflecting the designer's personality and brand identity.

I photographed all fashion editorials in the “Homme” section.

Fashion Industry Self Help Book | 2020

I created and authored a 100-page book during my final year of Fashion Communication. This project aims to bring a human touch to the often glamorized fashion industry. It delves into critical subjects like mental health, the hurdles confronted by creative professionals in the field, and offers practical strategies for overcoming these challenges. Content is based on research and my own experiences.

Alexander Wang 2019 Collection | 2019

Crafted for distribution at a museum showcasing Alexander Wang's most influential works, this zine highlights the designer’s New York influence and impactful American label. Included is a collage poster spotlighting the renowned designer’s edgy and cool style.

Bonus poster included in zine: Created using a collage of nylon, chains, paper clips, safety pins, and typographic cutouts, then rendered on Adobe Photoshop.

HYPER Zine | 2018

HYPER magazine celebrates the intersection of hip-hop culture and fashion, featuring key figures like Virgil Abloh and A$AP Rocky. Through vibrant colors and a playful design, the magazine's spreads encapsulate the essence of today's street style.

Milk Makeup Brand Guidelines & Logo Design | 2017

The objective of this project was to redesign and articulate the visual brand guidelines and logo design for an existing company. I chose Milk Makeup, a New York City-centric cosmetics and skincare brand celebrated for its natural and clean aesthetic.

I photographed all editorial headshots for this project.

Typography

Summary

I extensively studied typography and understanding its role in design. Typography elevates the overall design and visual identity of a brand by fostering a sensitivity to font selections, spacing, and alignment. This attention to detail ensures a seamless and refined aesthetic that harmonizes with the associated brand.
